It’s important to let the Trustee know your wishes about the payment of any money from the Scheme.
If you die before retirement and have benefits in the Scheme, the Trustee will need to make a decision about who those benefits should be paid to. If you haven’t taken your pension yet, you can let the Trustee know who you would like to receive your benefits by nominating your beneficiaries online through Member Online. This is our secure member area where deferred members can keep their own details up to date, including their address.
Remember to keep your wishes updated if your circumstances change – otherwise your ex may indeed get your pension!
